‘EVER ALERT’, THE ON-LINE MEDICAL INVENTORY-CUM-CARGO MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Ever Alert, the Online Medical Inventory cum Cargo Management System introduced in Lakshadweep received the CSI-Nihilent Special Jury Award 2007-08 for the best e-Governed project. ‘Ever-Alert’ is an on-line application system designed, developed and implemented for the Department of Medical and Health Services to facilitate the process of indent, procurement and monitoring of availability of medicines in the Hospitals, Community Health Centers and Primary Health Centers across all the UT of Lakshadweep

SHRI. B V SELVARAJ IAS,the Hon: Administrator of the Union Territory of Lakshadweep, has been awarded the E-Gov Champion of Southern Region by Cybermedia, the leading publishers of Dataquest and other electronics journals in India. The award was presented in a prestigious and sparkling ceremony conducted at Park Sheraton Hotel, Chennai on 20/2/2008 in the presence of distinguished personalities of IT sector.

Best e-Governance Project

Shri B.V.Selvaraj. IAS, the Hon: Administrator of the Union Territory of Lakshadweep was awarded Manthan Award 2007 for his achievements in the Project “Total Digitization of the Employment Services in Lakshadweep. The Digital Empowerment Foundation, an Organization endeavors for strengthening the e-content movement in India has recognized trendsetting efforts made by Shri Selvaraj in the Union territory of Lakshadweep which is likely to be emulated elsewhere

Department of Electricity
(Best E-governed Department)

  Department of Electricity bagged the CSI-Nihilent e-Governance award 2006-07 for the best e-Governed Department. Lakshadweep is the first Union Territory/State in the whole country to have ‘universally electrified’ every household in the territory and in every island, large as well as small.

PORTNET
Innovative Project

The Lakshadweep PORTNET project has received the “Award for Innovative Project” in the Microsoft e-governance awards 2006. The project which facilitates the ship ticket Advance reservation system for the ships plying in Lakshadweep using a web-enabled system is conceived, developed and implemented by National Informatics Centre, Lakshadweep.
